If you make sure all the sealer is removed *before* you slap the wrench down onto the plug to remove it, there's no way any is going to get into the cylinder.

However, I think I'd use dielectric grease before I'd use RTV.

Yea, the only reason I wouldn't do that - It's a PITA to remove the next time around. You'll be cusin yourself or whom-ever gave you that bright idea
