Engine shaking at idle help!!

I've got a 2007 Screw 5.4 with 5700 miles on it. The truck drives normally when I first start it. After about 20 minutes of warm up and only when I stop at a light or park in my driveway, the engine starts shaking and sounds like a diesel. When I rev the engine up to 2500 its fine but then shakes again back at idle. It does this intermittently. It seems to do it more after I have to accelerate faster then stop. I would like to know whats going on before I bring it to the dealer. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

I have a 1993 f150 that does it , a 1998 f350 that does it , and my 2003 does it ... Maybe thats why ford finally built the Harley Edition , it can shake at idle and they can tell you its normal LOL

Now this is interesting....

I have an 08' S-cab with the the 5.4L, and less than 3K on it, and it shakes a little at idle too. It does it more when its cold, but even after its warmed up, if I sit at a light for a minute or two, it will sometimes start to shimmy a little.

....and all your Fords do this too, FX4 ? Not sure if that's comforting or not ?

Also, one of the dealers I spoke to, before buying my truck, had told me, {while I was trying to decide between the 4.6 and the 5.4} "Personally, I think the 4.6's run a little smoother...... The 5.4's always seem to have a little shimmy at idol".....

Of course I figured he probably just had some extra 4.6's that he wanted to get rid of :-) But apparently not....

All of this aside Stangeman, if your truck is running "really rough" I'd take it to the dealer. It should be under full warranty of course.....

I'd like to hear what they found.

Peace,
Fish

I definately will....just like to know b4 I go. If its bad gas, I want to know b4 they know. This is violent shaking......not a rough idle. Its very loud.....embarrassing when I dropped the kids at school this morning....attracting stares. There is something wrong. I can compare it to the shaking when I accidentally mixed up the plug wires on my 66 Stang.....only worse.
