I am not trying to toot my own horn or talk bad about anyone else, it wasnt ment to offend Built or Boss i dont want anyone to get bent out of shape.

The times i saw listed from both of their 1/8 mile runs were 8.1 and a 8.4 if i remember corectly. My best time on 18inch nitto drag radials was a 8.6 or a 8.5 with a 2.0 60ft, i gotta find slips. My point is they both had built motors and I was a stock motor with a vortech and was only a few tenths behind them both. No offense but if i dont run low 7's I will sell it. I think if i would have had my bogarts and hoosiers then i could have dropped that time a bunch. Time will tell or should i say times will tell lol.

that's what I meant, in the 1/8th you'll be the fast one but they might getcha in the 1/4

I bet you pull the front wheels skyward when the tree trips

I am setup for 1/8 due to the fact that the closest 1/4 is 2-3 hours away. I would run out of gear more than likely in the 1/4 with 4.10's and 28 inch slicks.

I am not really shooting for a certain dyno number, but track times. I want to be low 7's and if I am lucky a high 6. I set my goals high lol. It is nice to have big dyno graphs but it is just a tuning tool.
Everything is falling into place. I have a bad *** tuner that i call all hours of the night with questions, a guy that can port an eaton like no other, and tons of friends that have went fast and always their to help.
I showed a buddy yesterday the truck and everything that i have been doing and he had nothing but good to say. It made me feel good coming from a guy with a fox body with a F1R, built to the gills man-o-war block, and makes stupid power.

I am going to lower it a tad more them QA1's at all four corners, I have jlp long traction bars already. Possibly a set of fiberglass leaf springs depending if i can find them at a good price. I am getting the 8.8 braced up and the tubes welded up. I had a guy that runs mid 5's in the 1/8 say to keep the 8.8. He said their is tons of guys running them and having no problems. The guy i mentioned with the F1R has a 8.8 under his car still. My fuel cell should be here thursday or friday. I love getting parts

Yeah, but is he running the 8.8 in a 4000 lb. vehicle? I'd have second thoughts about that. That's alot of weight to get moving. My concern isn't the gears, bearings or axles holding up, but rather the housing itself flexing getting distorted, and letting the gears fail due to that, even being braced up. BTW, I think if you plan on getting into the 6's you'd better be spraying... that's just my opinion

His car is full weight minus air and heat. It has a 10pt cage full interior it is not light by no means. I am getting the tubes welded and braces put from the tubes to the center section by the yoke. The more people that i talk to say that it shouldnt be an issue. The truck already has a zex kit on it and will be used after everything is lined out.
