94 Engine Whine
My 94, 6 Cyl, Manual Transmission, 2WD with 180,000 miles whines over 40 MPH. The noise changes in pitch (up and down) as the RPM's go up and down.
I love this truck and would like to make the noise go away.
Any ideas?

do you know where the whine is from? (motor, tranny, differential)
check power steering pump first. they get pretty noisy. then fan clutch. then all the pullies and the water pump. you can make your own stethoscope with a piece of hose if it helps just to verify where it is.
