ECT and CHT sensor location

Working on my friends truck and getting error codes for ECT and CHT. Can someone tell me where they are located on a 2003 F-150 4.2 V6.

Truck has 218k plus miles so I assume they need to be replaced. I looked in the usual spots and can't seem to find them. Thanks in advance.

That's what I thought, but I'm confused AutoZone shows both an Engine Coolant Temperature and a Cylinder Head Temp sensor for that year. Is the CHT under the manifold, I couldn't find it, and the Chilton's book was not much help either.

Yea, they list both in the on the 03 service DVD as well. They are the same thing . Think of it this way - The CHT is the ECT

Heres some diagrams = 2003 4.2L V6 -

Good Luck.

BTW - Passenger side Cylinder head as Matt said. - He just got lucky.
