UD Pulley problem

I have a 99' 4.6 i bought pulleys for with an 8 rib system. The 5.4 i got has a 6 rib system. Are the belts the same length? Because i want to try to jimmy rig it so i can mount my 8 ribs to them, does anyone think this is possible or have done it?

I know the routing is the same and on almost every UDP set you see they say 4.6/5.4 on them with either 6/8 rib. You should be able to use the pullies just be careful which ribs you put it in so the belt is straight...

well when i put the tensioner pully bracket on my 5.4 from my 4.6 it rubs on the head...The holes in the head that it mounts to dont stick out far enough so i was going to put a spacer deal in there so it does. My question is will the belt line up with the rest of the pullys?
