throttle doesnt work?????? 2007

07 F150... truck runs and drives fine but when you push the gas it does nothing. it will idle all over the place. Do these trucks have a cable or no. Any ideas on what this could be?

No they have no cable. It is a computer controlled throttle. As it is under warranty, take it in.

its electronic controlled. do you have a code P0506? or any codes at all? some people here have similar problems and clean the throttle PLATE(not covered under warranty so its a DIY), not the whole throttle body. do you have any aftermarket air filter or induction? how many miles? motor?

i'd take it in to the dealer. and have the latest program installed if it hasnt already.

the throttle body is under the hood on top of the engine under the airbox. the pcm is in the drivers kick panel i think. i dought its the pcm. you need to take it to the dealer if its under warranty.

yup it means the pcm is working otherwise it wouldnt run at all. see if you can start it with the pedal to the floor(it should not start). if it does its gonna require some diagnosing.

the dealership doesn't know if your truck was in water unless it was reported on insurance

it means somethings wrong. it should still crank but it shouldnt start. it disables the fuel system with the throttle all the way open.

No.... it was turning over but never started. I eventually got the pedal working and all and drove it to the dealership to fix it up right.
