Question Spark Plug Question

Anyone try the new Denso spark plugs and have any feedback to offer? Time to change the plugs in the F-150 Harley Davidson (2000), and I wanted to see if there was anything worth "upgrading" to. I have the stock platinum plugs in there now at 100,000mi.

Maybe NGK?

NGK vs. Denso?

I think the replacement Denso plug for my application is: PT16EPR-L13

Everyone else in here is gonna tell you to go with motorcraft but I went with NGK about a year and a half ago and they have performed very well.

If you are going to use anything but the stock Motorcraft fine wire platinums, I'd use Denso Iridiums.

Thanks for your opinion.

Am curious - if you were given this choice (Motorcraft fine wire platinums vs. Denso Iridiums), what would you choose and why?

Probably the Motorcrafts, unless you have a lot of mods. You have already proven they last 100k, and they are a fraction of the price.

yeah, they did last and still are ...

Not having any issues - just figured it's over 100K and the time is near.

Thanks.

Everybody has their plug story. lol
My stockers were looking like new at 55 k, and then I went to the Densos along with a new supercharger. I tried the NGKs along the way and switched back to Densos again. Densos seem to be the best.
I have heard that the platinums are a little hard to fire??
I have have a new set of Denso it16s if any body can use them.

I would like to try those Densos out, but I am pretty sure that my model F-150 takes 15's?

Also, thanks for your input!

Ooooops - my bad. I got confused between NGK's and Densos. 16's are correct. (Denso PT16EPR-L13)

Is this what you have? (or did you mean "IT")

New?

How much?

Basically the IT16's are universal for most years of the 150, correct? Is the Gap always the same? (.45) ?

Nothing wrong with NGK's as well

Motorcraft, Denso's and NGK's work the best in the Modulars. Since glc and ONELOWF posted above, I would go with Denso's 2nd.

Personally , I like the MC Fine wires.
