That kind of speed is good for two things (dying or killing). My 2 cents.
+1!!!
Go to the track if ya wanna go that fast.

actually... what speed is our trucks limited to? is it exactly 100? i've never tried, so i don't have any idea.. i probably won't ever go that fast anyway simply for the reasons everyone here has already stated.

damn. is that just becuase of the stock tires? or are there other reasons for that (other than the fact that it's a truck, lol).

my old ranger was limited at like 96 or something like that... from what i remember, the drive shafts on those things was the main reason for the limiter.

110 and the governor kicks in. tires arent made to be at that speed and because of the weight.

You are driving the wrong vehicle if you want to be able to keep up with them. Your in a 6k# truck, not a small car that can fly through turns. Dont be stupid.

But yeah if you really want to continue to go faster look into a tuner, for example a gryphon. Pretty sure Bill would be able to get that little limiter out of your way.

Exactly,,,BE CARFUL!!

I know Iv had some close calls and I wasn't even racing. Just out beating my truck.
You hit the gas and by the time you get er straightened out you look down and your going 80 or 90 and you look back up and someone has slowed to turn or pulled out right in your way,,,then it's on the breaks and hoping you can get slowed down in time.
Scary!!!

ok guys i really wanted the extra power for when i pull around my jet skis. i do speed but only off of the light for maybe a mile. i do go to the track on the weekend some times. i dont want people to think that they have to watch out for a 6 or 7 thousand pound truck fly down the road. i apologize if i came off as a lil a**hole. but thanks for all the help.

If you want power for pulling, regear.

My limiter kicks in at exactly 96 on the speedometer, which is 94 on the GPS. I've hit it exactly twice in over 2 years. Once was passing a convoy on a rural highway, and the other time was on a long straight empty road.
