Thanks Torqued. I will check into getting the blue tooth adapter and the app so I can see what is actually going on.

Have a blessed day.

I think I have found the problem. As I came back from lunch I turned A/C, radio and all accessories off. While cutting the switch off and on watching the Temp Gauge close the needle vibrates and tries to move both when turning off and on.

From what I have read so far the individual gauges can't be replace so you must replace the whole cluster. Is this correct?

That 'would be' my guess also. But the key word is 'guess' - mostly because the CHT sensor has some redundancy and fair smarts running in the ECU in order to depend on it to calculate coolant temperature. The computer 'recalibrates' it every run cycle and I suspect you would have some other DTC's if it wasn't working right.

As for not being able to replace one gauge in the cluster - I 'think' that would be correct also. And it has it's own processor in it (that stores stuff like your odometer mileage) that communicates with the ECU over the bus. I don't know if there is stuff the 'dealer' has to program or set to make it all work right.
