Changing PCV on F150 1997 4.2l

I bought a new PCV hose and PCV for my truck. It appears to run under the upper intake manifold(plenum). The hose is a hard plastic shaped like a Z. If it was rubber I might be able to fish it through by tying a string to the old one when I remove it. Anyway, it looks like I have to remove the plenum to replace it.

That is my question. Do I have to remove the plenum(lots of work) to replace the PCV line?

Thanks
