More Power???

Alright guys I need some help. Im wanting to do some engine mods or maybe even a swap to my 2001 SuperCrew 4x4. I plan rebuilding my current transmission to handle more power. But what Im stuck on is how to get about 400 to 450 hp out of my 5.4L. It has 140,000 miles so I know its gonna be some major stuff done it. What to do? Rebuild with high performance parts or swap for a newer lightning motor (would this be to much trouble)? What are yalls opinions?

Thanks

get a stock lightning crank, forged aftermarket lightning rods, stock lightning pistons and the eaton w/ mid plate and lower intake and do the eaton swap/lightning conversion with ported and plished heads using custom ground camshafts check out built5.4 and klitch's build threads.

that's probably what you are looking for
