the stock torque converters in these trucks are POS units very susceptible to ballooning if you remove the rev limiter.

It down loads and stores the stock program and uploads a modified program that the PCM then uses to control the engine functions. The 3 most popular brands are SCT, Diablosport and Edge. If you post an inquiry in the CHIPS section, you will get a more detailed response. Bare in mind that for what you want any of the above companies can accomplish the task. Any performance orientated individual, in order to increase the performance of their vehicle, will eventually purchase one of the above. The most common goal of a chip or programmer is to improve the vehicle's engine performance. Along with this the rev limiter is usually modified along with the removal of the top speed limiter. While Gotts2BMe's suggestion of using a switch is ingenious I would not recommend it. Some of the the engine's controls require the actual speed of the vehicle in order to properly control them. The idea of not having a clue as to what speed you are travelling is irrelevant as your speedometer most likely tops out at 100 mph or close to it. So even if you could still use the speedometer it is totally useless above 100 mph anyway.

I know SCT and Diablosport. They were also the recommended stuffs by my friends but I have no idea how much they cost?
