PCV question

This is on my 97 4.6 V8....on the back of the throttle body elbow where the hose attaches from the PCV, is the nipple on the TB elbow metal or plastic. I tried removing the hose to replace it, but I didn't want to break anything since it's on there pretty tight. To eliminate any holes or crask I was going to remove the whole stock hose witch I think is plastic or has some plastic in it with fuel line that goes from the PCV to the TB elbow.

Want to get rid of all possible leaks.

Thanks.

metal. i would replace it with the hose thats on it or just the elbow instead of using fuel line.
