Mass Air Flow Sensor and chip tuning
My mistake, I didn't realize you were talking about GM parts.
dude, get a clue. no factory parts, GM, Ford, or Dodge are made top notch. If you think so, you really need an education on mass production.
some companies offer tps's for the 5.0 v8 that can allow the throttle to open 100% instead of 75%. so they say. my friend got one for his 302 and it didnt do anything but keep it from shifting out of first gear. and performance sparkplugs dont work too well in the modular engines.
either way, ford built there engines the way they did for a reason. yeah there are tricks such as mess with the induction like the gotts intake, or mess with the timing and such to get more power and mpg. but the modular motors are built so they meet emmisions, yeah, but they are also built so they have better torque at the bottom end and so they have a better torque curve. but if you just bolt on a cai or maf and/or straight pipe the exhaust system without custom tuning it, you are going to lose that bottom end torque and good torque curve. if you modify one your gonna have to custom tune the truck so that everything works properly and so you can get the best performance possible with your mods.

actually for the older engines like mine, the throttle body is unable to open all the way. the sensors cheat the computer too say it is opening all the way when it really isnt, and it doesnt do anything except make your engine run richer.

) - Now why are you comparing a Buick V6 w/ a Ford 5.4L ? You call that an intelligent response? Oh here's mine - Uhmm, so.
Your lacking more than I thought, you must have a hole in your marble bag.
ONELOWF , light this................. -Fricken BANG!

Are you kidding me? You know how many knock-offs are out there? After market parts that work for a a short period of time, if your lucky and then go bad. You must be in a world of hurt with yourself making such statements - I was starting to sorta feel sorry for yuh, but now your sounding like a trol.
Ownelowf , light this... - bang

well for one, if you buy a knockoff you're an idiot to begin with. And the fact that there are cheap replacements out there doesnt make the OEM any better. If you had any electronics education at all, you would understand the major difference between a quality tuned part and OEM. Your opinion that OEM is just as good or top notch, that's your opinion and entitled to it. But dont go around telling people that replacement performance parts have no effect over stock parts when in fact it has been dyno proven. Cause if that were truly the fact, places like steeda and saleen would be using SVT parts, not 3rd party. Even SVT parts on average dont perform as well as 3rd party.
I wasnt comparing a buick to a ford. But mr bad azz modified 5.4 hasnt got much to stand on when his big ole v8 coudlnt touch a v6.
Your type is nothing new. Typical person that can quote textbook stuff and feels the need to make himself feel and look better by trying to make others feel they dont know what you think you know. I wont take away the fact that yes, you do know your stuff, but not like you want others to think. Especially in the electronics area.
You really wanna show you're above the rest, try explaining why the 06 and 07 model year F150's vibrate in the rear no matter how fast you are going. Even the ford engineers cant find a problem. They just make the excuse that its the stiffer suspension truck owners want. BS. Stiff suspensions may make you feel every bump in the road, but they dont vibrate. Yet more engineering stupidity out of the design team.

Don't act like you know my type fruit boy, I'm not above the rest . I don't know that much about the model years you specify. I know the 97 - 03 models because I've had one for ten years.
For your Vibration in the rear problem - Try pulling your head out of your a$$ next drive cycle.

whatever dude, keep blowing smoke out your *** just your words. Own one for another 10 years, maybe you'll learn something about the internal electronics and their ineffeciencies.
oops, sorry, did I use words too big for you?????
