He is not in the wrong thread, he contributed a great diognosis that happends to be relevant to the situation, if you read a few posts back it says it causes crank issues. CRANK/STARTER

That is what I thought at first, Im sorry Jbrew! Guys in another forum told me this is my issue also. Jbrew/guys check out my thread and tell me what you think.

The concerns I posted are real and can cause a crank no start. It's been a real problem so don't completely dismiss. That sucks that the OP never updated the thread. Symptoms the OP posted is what I was going on. I didn't realize the thread was 2 months old.

They use a high torque geared starter motor. Virtually every manufacturer does now. Nothing wrong with that. The starters used to be almost all direct drive, so it needed a larger starter. That type of starter will generally last longer without problems (worn brushes or bushings) than the larger starters they used to use.
