Injector help
My 2001 Screw 5.4 has about 75,000 miles on it and i want to replace cops and plugs due to slight hesitation under light throttle and truck seems more sluggish than it use to be..I have read many post about global cops and im going to get them and OEM motorcraft plugs but while apart i was gonna upgrade to bosch type 3 injectors while im in there.. as i have read about them also.. but on ebay there is different styles.. i am worried about getting the ones with the wrong style connector...so getting to the question does anyone know what my 2001 connector should be/look like...I have researched and seen JBREW had run into this issue and i dont want to have to change connectors or be stuck with wrong injectors.. Thanks in advance for any help you guys have
Brew had the big blade wiring connectors on his '98 and swapped the over to the small connectors. The type 3s are the small connectors and on a '01 you have the small connector. Think they changed the connector size in 99.

Thank you for the fast response, just thought of one more thing to double check yours look orangish the ones I want should be the yellow 19lb correct?? its just funny the ones i look at on ebay do not specify a match to any F series 5.4 only expedition to year 2000..thanks again
Yea, they will fit and work fine on all 3.8 -5.4 Liter 2 valves. You can just look @ your connectors to see what you have before you order. -

BTW - See that brown hat on the bottom of the stock injector in the pic ? Make sure all those are still on your old ones before replacing w/new. What can happen - They can snap off and remain in the manifold (I hate it when that happens!!) - You have to go fishing at that point and good luck with that... It can suck
