Irregular Idling

I have a 2005 F-150, 4WD, 5.4 L, 4 door pickup with 41,000 miles on it. It has been missing intermitently. There seems to be no ryme nor reason to when it happens, but its getting worse as times goes on. (its been doing it for a couple weeks now).
I cleaned the MAF sensor thourougly but to no avail. Any suggestions on what to do next?

Thanks.

you should have gotten a letter from ford about the fuel injectors sticking open/ closed causing rough idle on 2005 5.4 engines go to the dealrship and have them check it out. The warranty was extended to 100k miles for that problem. good luck

Yea, just take it in man - don't touch anything until you get it checked out. I wouldn't hesitate. It's an 05, that's the worst year for this problem and it's a 3 valve w/the dreaded plug problem. I hope they take care of you right.

Took it back to the dealership, they found a stuck fuel-injector. They replaced it free of charge since the warranty had been extended by Ford to 100,000 miles. All is well that ends well! This is a great forum, I'm glad I found it when I did.
