Please help
Hello everyone, I just bought a 1995 Eddie Bauer edition 4.9L automatic, short bed, 2WD F150 does anybody have a pic of the engine inside the engine compartment? Trying to figure it all out. I'm a girl and like to do thing myself. But I need a good pic to figure it out.. Thanks.
Get yourself a Haynes or Chilton repair manual for your year truck and it will have all the pics you need! Plus, the step by step procedures from changing your oil to pulling the motor and even rebuilding it!
They only cost about $20 bucks or so. I keep my Chilton manual in the drivers side door pocket!
You have a motor that's been around since the 60's I think... It's come a long way since then, but it's still a pretty 'bullet proof' motor for the most part.. It's a 300 CI inline six and has pretty good low end torque. That's why they were only put in the trucks...
Good luck and welcome to the site and when you start 'ripping' into it, if you have any questions, post them up or search for it and you'll probably find what you are looking for!
