How to remove baked on oil build up?
I'm hoping it is the PCV Valve. The old one didn't sound too bad, but I did buy a new one considering the price of them. I also need to find a brush and make sure that I get all of the hoses cleaned out. I ran the hoses under some hot water a little bit ago and chunks of crud were coming out of them, as well as a good amount of oil from the PCV Valve. The intake manifold is actually coming pretty clean just spraying cleaner on it. I will be changing the plugs since they are most likely fouled at this point, so I will just burn any of that crud out with the old ones, and then put the new ones in.
If it is the latter which I am hoping it isn't, well, it is either getting a 460 and a C6 (a friend has a strong running 460 w/ tranny just sitting) or it is going bye-bye. Just not willing to spend the $$$ or the time for that big of a project right now. I'll go out and buy another car with that money...
Appreciate the reply!
