not sure on the code, but the fuel filter is under the truck, left side, about half way on the truck, kinda hidden in the frame

p0402 means excessive egr flow. find the egr (flying saucer looking thing on the left side of the throttle body/intake) pull the hose that goes to the top and get a straw to suck on the hole. if the engine stumbles then the egr is fine. if not then replace the egr.

what did you replace your dpfe with?

fuel filter is on the drivers side, inside the frame rail. it pretty much sits behind the line between your door and front fender.

Thanks, I will try that with the EGR tonight. Do I need any special tools to replace the fuel filter or is it pretty simple? I replace the DPFE with a new DPFE :P I didn't sub anything in.

factory dpfe or aftermarket? you need a fuel line release tool for the fuel filter. i believe the size you need is 5/16 for the filter.

I had mine replaced with a aftermarket DPFE. I ended replacing that piece of junk with a Motorcraft DPFE.
