Go to a plumbing store and buy one of these; http://www.doityourself.com/invt/u341917 Click on link for technical info. I call it a preeper...

Then connect one end of it to the Throttle body and the other end to a 3 inch exhaust pipe fitting that you have shoved into your plastic piping. See jbrew's pic of my engine bay. The exhaust pipe is used to keep the plastic from crushing when you tighten the fitting. Go and find a brass garden hose end fitting, female, that you use to repair garden hose end fittings. Take it apart and keep the barbed end. See pic.

Drill a hole in the rubber adapter and shove the barbed end through the hole so the barbs ar pointing out. Slide a hose over the barbed end a clamp it. Run the other end of the hose to the IAC in your picture.

Never mind here is the picture with the preeper and brass fittings. I didn't use any clamps for this one but my Supercharged engine needs them to keep from blowing off.

His man - The OP's . Are you losing it ? Don't think I am , Yet! - The OP has a 5.4L that came with that funcky intake - LIKE the V10's. Atleast that's what he posted before hand. Maybe you missed it that one.

Yea , I really like that V10 intake set up - It's allot shorter, Wide and ovaled @ the TB - More airflow if there's a demand for it. - Looks similar to the L's set up - Hell , it just looks good under the hood.

Alright, well my ghetto setup up was just that... ghetto. It worked alright but I didn't trust it. I used a hole saw 7/8' and inserted a grommet, barbed nipple into grommet.
Had a small vacuum leak between grommet, so I used JB plastic weld.
I didn't feel too confident in the setup so I took a trip down to the Ford dealership...

113$ for a new intake. Thats it.

I have the 5.4L 250, the intake is exactly the same as the V10 except right where it connects to the throttle body. I have the round single blade TB.

I should have kept to the good ole' saying, "do it right or do it twice".

Lots of wasted time, and lack of parts... should have just gone straight to the dealership to get a new one. I thought my intake would be around $300 like the new 5.4ls f150's...

DUMMY me!

Been down that road many times myself - To stubborn to go to the dealer ..

BTW - I haven't had any success w/JB weld products - EVER. That Multi use 2 part epoxy that's going around now works GREAT! I've tried JB's plastic weld as well - It sucks. That good Epoxy stuff comes in a two part plastic injection bottle - The label is clear and blue in color. I forget what's it's called , but it's @ every third party supplier I've been to. hanging on the shelf.

Other than that - Permatex Black - I use that on the groments and to seal around seams. That's good sh^t as well.

Well I wish I would have known that because the JB Weld line is ALL garbage. Thats all I needed is a grommet & barb getting sucked into the engine. Next time I'll check availability & price of part before I go hacking up junk to ninja rig it.

Leason learned...
