Changed spark plugs

Hey all I swapped out the old Autolites 104 copper cores for new Moto's SP432 FW plats.

Nice accel and idle, improved fuel econ. too so far.

Autolite with around 8,300 miles on them. Plugs are arranged from front to rear cylinder in each photo.

Driver side

Passenger side

Most of that is antiseize. I did NOT antiseize the new motorcraft 432's.

And, if the '97 is like the 2000, the clean threads are the only ones that actually engage the threads in the heads. All in all, they look pretty good for their age.

You didn't put anti seize on the new ones? You might not be able to remove the new ones when the time comes.

Pay attention to his year model of the truck. Then go read the Spark plug TSB 08-1-9 again.

What Keith said. Whatever antisieze was on the old ones, there is probably some residual stuff there and will be best for the new ones.

PS to shifty, I had to hit it with a little pent. oil for a little help. Think the socket had some crud in it to from a recent job around the house.
