04 XL 4.6L PCM & check engine problem (Moved from QATS)
Check engine light came on. My OBDII DTC reader would not read PCM returned "error" on display. Reset by disconnecting battery cable. Check light reappeared next day. Took to auto parts store. Their reader returned PO506,
unexpected low idle intake air. Checked intake system, dusted motors w/compressed air. Reset PCM again. Check engine light returned. My mechanic
attempted code read with his OBDII DTC reader, it also returned "error" on display.
He checked system and could find nothing wrong. Code returned again after his reset. Took to local Ford dealer who wanted to charge $100 to read PCM.
Only symptom is occasional stall after accellerating from idle. Is PCM bad?
Something else? Anyone have any ideas or had bad similar PCM? Any help would be appreciated.
