Another possibility - excessive amount of ethanol in your fuel. Anything over 10% can possibly cause a lean condition till it goes into closed loop. If you have a FFV engine, disregard.

Never had ethanol in it. (what's FFV?)

i remember know a software update for 06 trucks because of this problem. take it to the dealer and ask them to flash your pcm to the latest version.
