Aww crap!

went to leave for work today and im leaking gold! err i mean gas...

there is a small puddle under the truck, and some moisture on the drivers side middle of the tank at the bottom. I didnt have time to look real close but it almost makes me thinnk someone screwdrivered my tank to get to the gas. other than that what would cause a leak like this? tank rotted out? and what will i be looking at cost wise for a new tank?

its a 99 4.6L 24 gallon tank

300+ for a new tank. i have mostiure on my tank and sometimes when its 32 or colder it will drip very very slowly. i think its 350.00 or so for my tank brand new. Someone prob tryed to steal your gas. My tank got hit by a rock the owner before me hit. and im not going to spend 300+ on a gas tank if its not constenly leaking. You can go to the junk yard and pull one yourself for prob 50-100 bucks. Good luck.

Mine leaked at one time. It was the over-flow line that runs next to the filler hose. Damn thing rusted out. - Tanks plastic - The rubber between the strap and tank can disintegrate with time and ware a pinhole in the plastic.

Make sure it's not the fuel filter.

my fuel filter is on the rail, unless these trucks have one in the tank??
there is no moisture anywhere near the top of the tank, its all at the bottom, the more i think about it im guessing screwdriver.

Steel. right , my bad. You lost me. Leaks don't drip from the hole. Never have seen one leak like that. Nevermind - Goodluck finding that one.
