Fuel problems maybe

My 93 Supercab 2wd has a 5.8l in it. I towed my travel trailer 300 miles to Georgia and it ran like crap. It missed, had a hard time getting above 50mph and the right exhaust manifold was glowing cherry red when I stopped to check it. I also noticed that my front tank went down very fast and the level in my back tank went up. I think my fuel diverter valve is shot and wont let enough pressure build up in the fuel rail causing the right bank to lean out. Any body have this problem and how hard is it to replace this valve? The truck runs like this with either tank.
Thanks
Kenny
