5.4L intake manifold :(

5.4L intake manifold :(

I was putting on my COPS last weekend and a sleeve that the bolt hold the coil on stripped out on two of the coils ..

1st: do I have to replace the intake manifold?

2nd: if yes where can I get one CHEAP ?..

Kinda looks like they are built into the intake-manifold.
Here's a pic of one.

what would you take for it?..

also I am looking to see if there is a way I can get it back in and hold??..

Yeah,,find out if you could fix it some how. If not,,,I'll let ya have it for 100 bucks + shipping.

Hey,,just had a thought.
Did you ever fix a striped screw by putting a little piece of wood in the hole then reinstalling the screw?
Sounds crazy but just might be crazy enough to work...lol

no the whole dam thing came out with the screw I was thinking about trying some super glue and put it back in and see if that holds??..

but if I cant get it to hold (work) I take the intake from you..

Couldn't you just tap the hole and put in a bigger bolt?

my buddy mark has two of them in his back yard collecting top soil ill ask him he lives near plano.

Oh,,so the whole brass insert came out of your plastic intake?
You do have the plastic intake in your year truck don't you?
I would try some kind of glue like you said,,that should work.

I am going to try it and see one of the brass inserts is gone along with the bolt

man this **** is killing me.. if not one thing it is another..

just use some epoxy to hold the brass insert in there.

I am working on that I am missing one brass insert and no one sales the dam thing.. it is part of the intake manifold.. that is why I was looking for one and just change out the manifold..

go cut the head off a threaded screw and glue it in the hole then put a nut on top. it doesnt take much force to hold the COPS in.
