5.4L Spark Plug Blowout

Blew out the #2 spark plug and am going to start repair tomorrow with a Time-Cert kit. Wish I would review this forum more often because if I had, I would have tightened the plug a long time ago--I let the ticking sound go way too long. By the way, the cost was ~$400 for the kit (Ouch!), but far better than a cylinder head replacement. I already posted the kit to resell on EBAY. I pretty much read every post on this subject, but if anyone has any new pointers, let me know. Thanks.

#2 should be easy to fix . Did you get a video with the kit ?

BTW - There's a couple people here that rent those kits - Good guys, good price (most likley).

Good luck

No video, just a laminated instruction sheet. I watched some videos on the net though. Too late, I already bought the kit. If I can't sell on EBAY, I'll rent mine out also.

Just finished cylinder head repair--kit worked great. Note: the instructions on time-sert web site say to make sure valves are clear before starting procedure by manually turning the engine and feeling for air pressure. The best way is to use a bore scope--also good to ensure all metal shavings are removed.
