canged plugs, wont start. Now what did I do

Oye. what a day. The plugs I'm referring to are on an E350 V10. Un-believable. I got em all in, put every thing back and - no start. Engine cranks, everything has power.

Looks like its not getting fuel. Checked fuel pump relay, fuse, fuel pump cutoff switch. All looks ok.

I cannot hear the fuel pump spining up just after ignition.

So what should I look for? What would cause the fuel pump to not get power, when fuses and relays appear ok?

I am thinking I might have left something unplugged from the wiring harness. Is there a sensor in there that if unpluggsed, would cut off the fuel pump.

Any suggestions would be greatly and desperately appreciated.

How was it running before you changed the plugs?

any sensor unplugged could mean the PCM will not deliever fuel and will not start

start by checking the main ones
CKP
CMP
MAF
TPS

Did you pull the fuel pump fuse to bleed the system down before taking the fuel rail off? Recheck the fuse.

Patman wins the prize!

went back out after cooling down. rechecked all connector plugs. Did forget the MAF sensor, but that was not it. There is a larger (like the size of your wrist) wire bundle right up front that plugs into an equally large bundle going to the rear of the engine. Had slipped it together, but did not connect via a bolt used to bring the two halves together.

fixed that and she started right up.

Sum total -8 hrs to change 10 plugs.

What is Ford thinking when they engineer these things?

They are thinking: "Man, I'm glad I'll never have to work on one of these!"
