I need a new PCV/Valve cover gasket. Anyone know what size they are? I looked for one of the Dormite/Help grommets but none were listed for my 2002 5.4. I'm not at home and won't get home till late, so I need to try to figure out what it is so I can stop by the parts store today before they close.

Anyone know if any of the Help Grommets will fit? I'm sure there has to be one that is the same size as our PCV and valve cover hole.

Or does the Motorcraft PCV valve come with one it in already?

I'm thinking it should be a pretty standard hole size on the valve cover and I can use the new PCV to measure inside diameter and try to guess at one of the Help grommets.

Any ideas?

 

The pcv valve is 3/4" in diameter.I think the grommet is 1-1/16" in diameter.Your local parts store has a "HELP" section that should stock these.

 

Yea they do and it's labled "For a Ford" - I just pulled mine out in the parking lot and brought it into the store to match it up

 

When I got my Motorcraft PCV Valve it came with a new grommet.

 

Hey , who do you order from ? The dealership ? I have to order mine as well and they don't come with the grommets. But I order them from a third party supplier - Only Motocraft valves tho, those others are junk!!
