Talking Hoses to dpfe valve?

Did a plug and cop change last weekend and broke on of the lines going to the DPFE valve, I had a piece of 3/8 fuel line in the shed, with a little rigging I got the end next to intake to fit snug, the manifold end was a snug fit when I slid it over the stop that the factory hose stops against. Just wondering if this will last or is this a special piece of hose? I know there is alot of heat there. Thanks for the info in advance.

The line should work fine. Just do a look see on it every now and then to make sure it isn't breaking down, but I see now reason why it wont work....

Cut it at the split/cut and repair w/brass bard - There only a couple bucks - Take your hoses to the hardware/home depot - They both carry hose barbs.
