Hey everyone i have a 97 f150 supercab with 179,000 miles on it. she runs and drives likr brand new. but i keep getting the System too lean code in BANK 2 to keep coming up. I have no idea what could cause it it runs fine and gas millage is still the same. Does anyone kno what it could possibly be?? before i bring it in to get it fixed im a real big DIYer. any info/pics ANYTHING would be very helpful! thanks

 

Ususally a vacuum leak.

it would help if you identified your engine.

 

O yeah, its a 4.6. if its a vaccum leak how do i identify where the leak is comin from?

I had the same problem a few months ago. Use the search tab on this site and type in P0174. You will find alot of info and probably your fix,
like I did.

 

alright i finally got it all figured out. it was a vaccum leak on one of my throttle body hoses and i also needed to replace my EGR which was a PITA but i got it all figured out cleared the code and im off to a good start! thanks alot guys
