Code 542 on 94 4.9, inline 6
Code 542 on 94 4.9, inline 6
Help, greatly appreciated...
Dual tanks, rear tank stopped working 6 months ago so I only use front tank... both gauges don't work, so irregardless of miles driven, I fill tank...
changed clutch, spark plugs and wires 3 weeks ago, immediately, check engine light comes on, keep driving until truck hesitates and then dies, will not start
Run diagnostic code by jumping DLC and Self test input, KOEO pull up 3 codes...
Code 522; vehicle not in park or neutral during test... self explanatory
Code 327; EVP or DPFE circuit below minimum voltage; apparently, when I changed spark plugs, I severed vacuum hose running from EGR valve to vacuum tree, hence immediate code when I started... I think... should I change EVP sensor or EGR valve or both or clear code and check if vacuum hose replacement fixes problem...
Code 542; Fuel pump secondary circuit failure; PCM to ground... I'm stuck, relays & fuses all good, fuel pressure regulator workin good, no gas in vacuum line, inertia switch good; not tripped, my question... do I change the secondary fuel pump or the primary pump or both and which is better, bed off w/ tanks in place or vice versa... I've got 2 sons with strong backs including mine and if needed, my wife's........also, w/ key on, pump runs after it sits overnight, engine starts but hesitates when I step on gas and then dies, no can start after that...
Finally pump does not work when I ground FP terminal lead from the DLC
Any ideas... help greatly appreciated and oh yeah I was kiddin bout my wife, she can't lift, but gives a mean back rub...

if ur dropping tanks with gas in side and it ant to difficult to pull the bed that's not that bad saves time dropping tanks iv dropped both on my truck 2 times for the back 1 for the front
make sure u are using metal fuel line disconnects the plastic ones don't work
