Cleaned the throttle body

Hi there,
I cleaned the throttle body, thanks to the help from reading on this forum.
My question is though, the part of the throttle body that I am holding with my hand. Is that something that is safe to take apart and clean also? What is the part anyway? My truck is a 2005 FX4 with the 5.4.
Thanks for the time and the help.

do not take out the staked /swedged torx screws. the factory uses a special alignment process to center the throttle plate in the bore. that is why the screws are staked.

I don't think he is asking about the butterfly, I think he is asking about the black piece in his hand.

Thanks Bluejay. I was talking about the black piece. Any idea what it is?

It is the electric throttle control. It is basically an electric motor that moves the throttle plate open and closed according to the commands of the PCM.
