Royal Purple, Amisol, or Redline?

I've seen debates over the first two, but hardly much on the use of Redline Synthetics. I'm wondering about people's opinions on all three as far as trans, diffs and T-case. not doing any of those in engine as the expense is not worth it for something i will change every 3000 miles anyways.

I use Amsoil products (motor oil, filters, tranny, diff, etc). If I am going to pay the big bucks for syn oil, I know Amsoil is 100% syn. and I trust it. I do extended oil changes...usually once a year or 8000K (depending on driving). Also the dealer just lives 1k from me so one stop shopping .

I use 0W30 SSO in the motor, 75W140 with Slip Trac, ATF, and use Amsoil syn. air & oil filter. My truck runs great

That's funny...my reply was going to be an exact mirror image of this one, except I go 10,000 very comfortably between oil changes...I sleep great at nights. And all I got to do to find my dealer is roll over and give her a big fat kiss

Buzsaw...don't forget Amsoil has brake fluid now!! I haven't tried it in the truck yet, but I've used our DOT 4 in my track bikes and it's friggin awesome. Will be swapping out the DOT 3 in the cars this summer. And also use the ATF in the power steering. I even flushed out the power steering fluid in my Lexus with speed sensitive steering with the ATF and it performs phenominally well!! Then I will have 100% Amsoil in everything that holds fluid in every vehicle I own...Don't forget...Amsoil filters too!!

Pehonixx Keep this in mind...Amsoil has the XL line of oils for the guys just like you. They have different basestock/addative packages when compared to the top end Amsoil oils, but I will tell you they are the direct competition for what ever else you're going to buy off the shelf at WallyWorld (Mobil 1, etc)...price on the XL oils are compatable to that as well.

From: Georgia on my mind...
Use any oil you want, synthetic or conventional, with the latest API rating. Use a good filter. Use fluids that equal or better the OEM requirements. Change 'em regularly as the maintenance schedule requires, and quit thinking so hard about oils and other fluids.

i will be using the oil i want, i simply was as much info as i can find about the "top" oils. But im not talking about engine oil here, im talking about the other stuff, the oils you only change every few years like the tranny, the power steering, the differentals, the transfer case.

besides, if you could only eat 1 food and had to eat the same food for an entire year without changing it, would you not choose carefully? Since my truck cant choose, im trying to make the best educated decision i can.

Well then don't just rely on this site for your answers. That wouldn't be very smart.
