Frost plugs on 97 4.6 F150

I have two frost plugs on my 97 4.6 that are leaking. One is behind the starter on the right side of the engine block. The other one is behind the left motor mount. Both are leaving a streak down the side of the block. The head gasket is not leaking. I have only changed them when the engine was out of the vehicle before. I don't want to pull the engine to fix the leak. Any ideas? 260,000 miles on the truck.

Well, obviously, if you can't reach them to get them changed out with the motor IN the truck... You need to pull it.

I'd say you have many more miles left in the motor.

Your call man!

if you can get close enough to them to pop the old ones out then you can always use the expansion type plugs
