Your 01 doesn't have an ECT sensor. It uses the CHT for that. Only the 4.2 V6 uses one. That may be where the confusion comes from.

Yea, it was eliminated in 99 on the 5.4L's. They programed the PCM to do all the math thru the CHT Sensor. The 97 -98 5.4L used both ECT and CHT Sensors.

PO125- If the coolant level is ok. I would replace the thermostat.

The CHT Sensor is under the intake maninfold driver-side head toward the front. That white plug on the right -

Does the rad hose get hot? Check the coolant level. Either the t-stat is stuck open, most likely as there is no heat in cab, or the CHT circuit/sensor is faulty.

Just replace the thermostat. It's getting lazy and is not allowing the coolant to come up to temp within the alllotted time given by the PCM's programming.

Most common reason for a P0125.
