Intake and Supercharger Question

I know there's a section for Superchargers but I think it may be my intake so I thought I'd ask for some help here.

I just put on my Vortech last night..... But it's way too high to match up with the intake.....Its sitting about 3 inches higher than my throttle body. If you look at some of the pictures they go straight into the throttle body from the output pipe. I've called Vortech and the blower and bracket are for the correct model, its an 7/02 built truck.

Did they change intakes or something at one point? Mine is plastic and some look metal. Would that change the height of the throttle body? I'm not sure why this thing isn't lining up. Any ideas?

It looks like the discharge and volute should be clocked to about 7:30 - 8:00, instead of the current 9:00 oclock?? Maybe you can find a photo of one that is installed correctly.

That's the only thing I can think of but I can't figure out how to change the position.... It looks like if I changed the housing it would be pointed way down just by moving one bolt hole. And I can't figure out how to change it on the bracket or it won't mount up right.
Vortech wasn't a big help, maybe I'll try them back and see if I can find someone familiar with the F150's.

Is it possible that the flat shim pieces that act like washers to hold the two sides together will need to be relocated? Nice industrial strength tensioner there! JMC's photo looks right.

I sure wish it did!
I'm confused cause pic(from Vortech's website) shows a 5.4 pulley config but my blower isn't turned like that, and if I do turn it, it would have the opening way down..... That intake is metal, mine's the plastic one... Is there a difference? Did they even make a metal one?
Other pics(actual installations) of 5.4's show it going straight, not turned down like that one.
I can't figure out the difference.
Vortech says my bracket and blower are correct for my model.
Almost makes me wonder if my intake is lower or something????

I forgot to add that the pic was of a Vortech. Notice the downward angle of the blower.

On closer examination, this photo is a 4.6 truck engine with cops, so 99-??

I finally figured it out.....it does turn. I must have been asleep last night. I even looked at if over and over to make sure it didn't. But it does....all is fixed now. Don't know why I didn't see it, I was looking right at it... May have been because it was about 12am.
