what kind of truck do you have? you didn't mention that little bit of important info. Who cares about drag racing a truck anyways? Sure it's fun, but in the end, so what if he is faster? it's a truck for crying out loud.

Yes, knowing what kind of a truck would be helpful. Because if you had an F-350 with the 5.4 I would recommend selling it........

a lightning would easily beat the Tacoma, but the Tacoma will easily beat the heavy F150s. Think about it, the trucks are lighter, are six speeds, and have a better gear ratio in the back than our trucks. Of course it's going to be quicker in race. When I had my 00 4x2 ex-cab 5.4, it would consistently get beat by my friend's 06 4x2 tacoma prerunner. Not by a huge margin, but it would beat it.

Truck races with DD trucks are pointless anyway. Leave the racing to built cars or built trucks.

Well Corey, if the guy you raced is an A$$ (capital A) like me, you can try to change the subject from drag racing to towing, or hauling, or whatever, but I would never let you forget the day your F150 got spanked by a Taco.

Unless you've driven his truck, you don't know how fast it is... you only know it's faster than yours. If he races like I use to, I usually saved a little for the rematch.

And when I lost, I'd look'em in the eye and tell'em good race. Then take his sister to McDonald's and a movie, and anytime he'd bring up beating me, I'd tell'em to "say Hi to his sister for me," and giv'em a wink and smile.
