putting a piston in

is there a special sleeve you can use to put the piston back in?

Yes, it will compress the rings to fit around the piston and then tap the crown and drive it in. Put some oil in the cylinder though.

Yea there is its called a piston wrench also put some oil lining the cylinder so it wont be started dry.

I was being a smart@$$. If you have to ask that question, you probably shouldn't be trying to build an engine.

Are ya trying to build a new engine for your rig?

There's a first time for everything. First engine builds are usually all about learning how not to build an engine.

Neither have I.

Bet you won't find it called that in any tool catalog. They always call them "piston ring compressors".
