intake ?
It will fit most likely but work? I don't think so. It's designed for 2 things. Shorter runners for the lighter Mustangs and lower for hood clearance. Are you changing your rear gear ratio to let it wind up faster?
it will bolt in, however there is more to consider than will it bolt it.
#1: you will lose low end power
#2: majority of the 2 valve mustangs ran 24# injectors without them you'll lose top end power too
#3: that requires a custom/dyno tune
#4: does the intake you want to use use a larger throttle body? (see # 3)
#5: do you use your truck to tow?
#6: as asked above did you change to a lower rear end gear ratio?
if you are interested in doing the extra work, ensuring vacuum lines, cables, egr stuff all gets modified in needed, etc... and it's only to avoid cutting a hole in your hood then yes go for it

Why not just buy an intake made for your truck instead of trying to recycle an intake from a Mustang?

I think he means the actual manifold. So, that would be upper plenum and TB as well. The Mustangs don't have a CHT sensor, and the 98 truck does, so there is at least one clearance issue to check..... I wonder what the actual loss would be like on the low end torque??
