Oil Cooler Lines

I was just wondering how tough it would be to change the lines that run to your oil cooler on a 1998 f-150?

Thanks

Unless someone added one after the fact, you don't have an oil cooler. You have a transmission cooler and a power steering fluid cooler, and maybe a remote oil filter....so you'd have to expand your description a little to determine an answer to your question. Why do you need to change them anyways?

your probably talking about the stock remote setup right? the filter is under the driver side bumper. those lines arent that hard to change.

The dealer actually refers to them as the oil cooler lines. I had to change mine out about a year ago, its relatively a simple job. The dealer price was around 180 bucks, rather expensive.

summit racing has ones for cheaper. i didnt realize it until it was to late and i forked over 140$ to the dealer. dont wait to long if those burst youll lose about 5 quarts in about 5 seconds. kiss your motor goodbye.

Actually the cooler is what they call the adapter that the oil filter connects to - Yea , I 've heard it called that a few times and seen it referred in a diagram - I think I have that one in gallery 3 my diagram gallery - those galleries are for anyone to use , so take advantage, they can help - check it out(little camera top right corner).

Right, the lines are for the remote system. Most 5fours in 98 have these remote systems. The lines are referred to as oil cooler lines.

The only radiant coolers on this model is the PS and Trans coolers.

On a remote system or what ? The lines are leaking - or is the connector - Where is it leaking . You really don't give enough info - What type of system do you have ? You sure it's not the power steering cooler . ???
