Is there any way that someone could post a picture of the 5.4 engine that shows where the cylinders are, or at least where # 2 is?

Here is a how-to on doing plugs/COPs.

https://www.f150online.com/forums/li...parkplugs.html

If you have any mechanical capabilities - i.e. think you can do the job once you read the attached how-to, and maybe even after you replace one COP - go for the whole set. It sounds like you are might be picking them off one by one for awhile if you don't just do a whole set. Obviously it is expensive to do the whole thing at a mechanic, but if you can do the set by yourself, you'll be way ahead. Good luck.

Do not use Anti-seize on the plugs. Torque to 12 to 16 ft pounds. I went with 14. Good Luck.

Well guys, thanks for your help on this. I am very happy to say that I replaced the #2 coil all by myself in about 15 minutes, and everything seems to be back in order - running good.

I have quite a feeling of accomplishment right now, so I sure hope it lasts this time. But if any more go out then I will go ahead and get the entire set from Ebay.
