Exclamation engine swap

I've got a 4.2l v6 2wd 5spd. Its been sitting in the driveway the engine has seen better days and so has the transmission. After I have the trans. fixed, which is a m50d, instead of rebuilding the 4.2 I was thinking of taking the 4v 4.6l out of a 2000 cobra that I have that had been totalled and no one wanted to put it under insurance. Would that work with my current transmission setup? And would this be a direct swap? I also have the 5.4l from a lightning with no supercharger. I have all the same questions for that engine as well.

Thanks

1st engine; No and no. Second engine; No and no. Sorry, but the bellhousing bolt pattern for the 4.2 differs from the Modular pattern.

the cobra has the t-56, so it wouldnt fit the trans but would it swap right in into the engine compartment or would I have to fab some new brackets. would there be any 4.6 that I could find that would be a direct swap?

The problem is I dont have the trans from the cobra anymore, I sold it about a year ago. Do you have any Idea what kind of trans i should be looking for if I want to do that swap? t-56?

The easiest swap would be a M5OD from off a 4.6. A T56 is a better tranny, but I dunno how easy it would go into a truck.
