I can now add to this one... 
Remove intake, remove metal tube. BUY heater hose for 2000 Trans Am (fbody) also buy a 5/8 to 5/8 nipple. It has the proper "U-turn" molded in!
and it's LOOONG. Long enough to meet up with the rubber end of the existing heater hose!!!!
Be gentle on removing the intake so you do NOT tear or break the o-ringed plastic gaskets. ($40) Time was about 6 hrs. cost about $30 ( about $100 if you get gaskets and accessories )
