Intake Manifold

how hard would it be to put in a new intake manifold on a 5.0 v8

5.0 motors are very easy to work on are you doing the upper and lower?

its fuel injected and i honstly dont know. i took it to a shop and they said it was a bad intake manifold gasket so i probally will end up changin both but i have never worked on a car or truck before but i got a few buddies who have rebuilt a few motors one just rebuilt the top end of his 4.9 striaght six so im hopin its not over our heads.

so ur just replacing the gasket go pick up a chiltions book and youll be all set if u can follow directions

Are you planning on replacing the gaskets yourself or let someone else do the work? If you don't know if it has a carburetor or fuel injection, you might be better off letting someone more knowledgeable do the repairs.

Yea , alright then ~ Here's what you do and it's been said - Just head up town to your local auto supply and purchase a Haynes or Chilton's manual. Either one will map the procedure out for yuh

i siad it was fuel injected you ***. i said i didnt knwo if i was changin both intake gaskets or just the upper one.
