Once sh*t gets in, you can't kill it all that easy.
Most people thinks buying a program like Norton 360 is a waist of money and to renew each year but it saves all this hassle of system virus, control take-over etc. and all the expense of paying a shop to do it and tell you the same thing.
I can clean out once, go up on line and get a load of sh*t the first time, so you need to do this or suffer the results of not doing it.
Been thru this several times and learned the simple lesson that the internet does not care about your computer or you.

Norton is most definitely on the "Bloatware" list - Very poorly written Security program with hell of a good marketing team.

TRUST ME . - AVIRA - Simply the best , the free version. You'll stop looking for good security software after using this one. Well , I shouldn't really say "using" - because - you never have to mess with it.

Honestly - I went on this quest years go. Use those 3 programs I posted on page one and you can rest easy . They all update themselves and their free.

I would like to know what bug these guys are talking about ?? Well - maybe not :o

I have Norton and it works ok for me I also run super anti spyware free version it removes more then Norton does. I use my computer for billing my customers so I dont mind paying for it to be protected. I also avoid **** websites they are the source of most problems. If you want to look at **** I discovered newsgroups are the place to go for that. its all free its unlimited..
The trick to making Norton work is to PAY ATTENTION during installation DO NOT SAY YES to everything. My wife installed it and afterwards her machine ran like crap. She had to remove it and now hates Norton..

I do this for a living, and I agree, Norton is crap bloatware. There are several less intrusive programs, and many are free. The one suggested is good.
