Spark plug gap

Looking for some knowledge on spark plug gap.I no ther are certain specs on plugs.But what would happen if the gap were smaller or larger any gains??

No - That may come into play if you were running a high performance motor and something other than the factory tune.

No perceivable gains on a stock ignition. You could close the gap and still fire the air fuel mix but the plug will wear out faster.
If you open up the gap you risk not allowing the spark to jump the air gap. That will cause a misfire. It will be more noticeable at higher rpm as the coils saturation time is shorter and that produces less energy.

I run a blower and I decreased the gap from .054 to .035 thousands of an inch to keep from blowing out the spark under boost.
