I have a 2005 ford f150 xlt 4x4, it has the 5.4L in it couple weeks ago the check engine light came on for cylinder 5 misfire. I changed the plugs in the truck. still get the check engine light. I just replaced coil number 5 and i still get the check engine light. the light doesnt come on everytime i drive it. but when it comes on it is at highway speed it dont come on at the same speed.

I have 57,000 miles on it. Ihave no modifications on it except 37 in tires and a k&n air filter. please some one help me out Im tired of wasting money. Thanks to anyone who could help

 

If you are truly tired of wasting money then take your truck to a mechanic and have a diagnostic scan done in Mode6. I would guess you are having injector problems but I would not run out and buy a injector without the proper diagnosis.
